Know the best times to catch a cab in the busy city. - There are some times of the day in NYC when everyone on the street seems to be looking for a ride and a lot of drivers are actually in the middle of changing shifts. For example, between 4 and 5 in the afternoon, you will probably be left waiting a while to catch a taxi, so it can be best to adjust your travel plans to a later or earlier time.
